I completed my altered book that I have been working on for a while. I loved making these bleach prints (as seen on cover) of leaves from the property here. What a great way to start summer.

New altered photo keepsake album listed on Etsy. I really love this little boy album with all of it's splatters of paint, fingerprints and wacky stitching.

Please see my Etsy for pricing and details. Here are a few sample pages of how album can look with your eprsonal photos included. I didnt want to trim my photos, but obviously you can adjust your own photos to fit the mats :)

awwwwwwwww........

Here is a sweet little girl paper bag album ready to go onto Etsy. I havent used paper bags for a while, but they are a really cute way to show off pictures in an album. I also love the green and pink combo!

I have used my daughter's photos to show an example of how cute these albums are with photos added :)

I have finally been able to work on a new album and it turned out pretty sweet. I love things with a "natural" theme and this fit perfectly. I love the blues and browns of this paper.

The page with my peronsal photos are a smaple of what it could look like. Then just add your own journaling throughout the page.

The colors seem a bit muted in these photos. Please note that the actual colors in album are a bit more vibrant.

I have it listed on my Etsy :)

A new artwork in a 5" x 7" canvas. I am obsessed as ever with trees, especially photographing the beautiful towering ones in on our property.

Materials used: Gesso, acrylics, fibers, photo corners, words from an old english poem...

I love the paint splatter technique to give pieces an aged appearance as read in Corey Moortgat's new book.

I have only finished the backgrounds on these two 4" x 4" canvases. Sometimes all I want to work on are layers of backgrounds. It is more exciting to me at times then actually finishing a piece. We will see what I will finish them like soon :)

I have been playing around a bit with our Paint Shop Pro and finished 2 digital pages. They are pretty simple, but seeing as I have only been doing altered photos by hand, it was fun to try out the program again. I have been having trouble being inspired in my artwork lately. I feel like I need a good swift push to get going. I have worked on a small 4" x 4" mixed media piece that I will post soon.

I however have been loving seeing new art around here and on the web. There are so many talented, creative, funky people in this world of ours. We went to our local art gallery (which is this big modern gallery in the artist district with all studios on the top floor, )this past weekend for a family class and it was so great. Alive with color. I have a fantasy
about moving into the gallery and living there amidst the studios filled with brushes and paints.

Something al little away from what I have been working on lately- this sweet wooden display shelf. I was inspired by a project on Pam Garrison's blog a month ago but havent found the time to try it out. I loved her use of bits of various papers and wallpapers and wanted to give it a go in my own small way. It turned out pretty sweet and shabby chic :)
